Want to plan your holiday in Bundoran around a festival? There are a number of exciting annual events that place in the town and guarantee a great atmosphere.

The Rory Gallagher Festival
Every year in May, a four-day festival is held in Ballyshannon, to honour the great guitarist Rory Gallagher. Ballyshannon is just 10-minutes drive away from Bundoran and there’s a regular shuttle bus service that will bring you there and back. Expect lots of music, craic and a fantastic atmosphere!

Sea Sessions Surf and Music Festival
The Sea Sessions Surf and Music Festival, which takes place on the main beach in Bundoran each June, is one of the highlights of the Bundoran social calendar.
In previous years, it has attracted the likes of
Paul Weller, Dizzee Rascal, Bastille, and Tinie Tempah, amongst many other acts. As well as the musical side of things, it also plays host to Ireland’s biggest surfing event, skate boarding, BMX, beach sports, yoga and a big party on the beach. It’s a lot of fun!

Bia Bundoran Food Festival

The first ever Bia Bundoran Food Festival takes place this September with local food providers and restaurants, showcasing their wares and providing information on produce. Prepare to ditch the diet for the weekend!

Big Week on the Beach
This is the first year of the Big Week on the Beach Festival in Bundoran, which takes place form August 14th to 18th. This celebration of the North Western seaside resort, will have something for every member of the family from surfing events, to historical tours and food tasting. It won’t disappoint!
